Can I have the bouquet delivered today?

If you order before 1:30 PM from Monday to Friday, the bouquet will be delivered the same day. For Saturday, orders placed before 11:30 AM will be delivered the same day. There are no deliveries on Sundays and public holidays. If you want to schedule a delivery in advance, please select your desired delivery date during checkout. In the interest of sustainability, we often run only one delivery route per day. Therefore, it is difficult and not always possible to accommodate preferred delivery times.

What will the bouquet look like?

Flowers are a natural product and are always carefully and thoughtfully arranged by the local expert florist. As a result, each bouquet is unique and is created as closely as possible to the image. The delivered bouquet will always differ from the photo because we use fresh products, and not every flower is available in every season.

The bouquets on our site are shown in medium size. The bouquet you order will always be delivered according to its value. This means that the value of the flowers in the bouquet corresponds to the order value.

How do I order a funeral bouquet?

You can order funeral arrangements and bouquets on our webshop or by phone.

When ordering funeral flowers, we need extra information to ensure timely and correct delivery. Therefore, we ask for both the delivery date and the funeral date.

Every order for funeral flowers is personally and manually checked by us.

Can I include a gift as well?

Complete your order with a gift! You can add one or more gifts to any bouquet. We offer a selection of teddy bears, chocolates and bonbons, vases, and various beverages. We also have several bouquets combined with a gift item.

How do I place an order?

The ordering process in a few clear steps:

1. Choose a bouquet and select the desired size.
2. Add a card with a personal message*.
3. Optionally add an extra gift.
4. Fill in the recipient's delivery details.
5. Fill in your own information.
6. Choose the preferred delivery date.
7. Complete the payment. Payment methods include iDEAL, Credit card, or invoicing (for businesses).
8. You will receive an order confirmation via email.

*If you wish to remain anonymous, do not include a name on the card. We never disclose sender information without permission.

Is there an age verification process when ordering/delivering alcohol?

At Bloemenhuis Hofman, we prioritize responsible alcohol consumption. Therefore, we do not sell alcoholic beverages to individuals under the age of 18. When ordering a bouquet including alcoholic drinks, an age verification process will take place upon delivery of the bouquet.

Can I specify the time for the bouquet to be delivered myself?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to specify a time or time frame for delivery. Our florists aim to deliver everything by 6:00 PM, however, we cannot guarantee this on busy days. Florists often strive for sustainability, and therefore may choose to run only one delivery route per day.

I forgot to fill in the delivery date, what now?

No problem, your bouquet will be delivered on the next available delivery date. If you need your order to be delivered on a different date, please reply to your order confirmation email and indicate the desired delivery date. We recommend doing this as soon as possible.

Can I specify a delivery time?

In the interest of sustainability and efficiency, we often run only one delivery route per day. Therefore, it's challenging to accommodate specific delivery time preferences. If you need your order delivered by a certain time, you can indicate your preference in the comments field. Please only specify a delivery time if it's absolutely necessary (for example, for a cremation or funeral). While we strive to accommodate delivery routes as much as possible, we cannot guarantee specific delivery times. If you require 100% certainty that your order will arrive by a certain time, please contact us by phone or email so that we can provide confirmation.

Orders for Businesses

Orders for businesses are delivered during office hours.

Funeral / Cremation Flowers

We ensure that the flowers are delivered by the time you specify. If, for any reason, we're unable to do so, we'll contact you. It's possible to have funeral arrangements delivered directly to the cemetery or crematorium. For example, if you don't have the address of the funeral home or if there isn't enough time for delivery to that location. In such cases, opt to have the flowers delivered on the day of the funeral, provided the funeral is in the afternoon. If the funeral is in the morning, it's best to have the funeral arrangement delivered the day before.

A bouquet is personally delivered by the local florist for €6.95, anywhere in the Netherlands. After the bouquet is delivered, you will not receive a delivery confirmation by email.

What are the delivery costs?

A bouquet, floral arrangement, plant, or funeral arrangement is personally delivered by the local florist for €6.95, anywhere in the Netherlands. Currently, you will not receive a delivery confirmation by email after the bouquet has been delivered.

Is the name of the bouquet mentioned to the recipient?

The name of the bouquet is not mentioned during delivery. Therefore, you can always choose a bouquet that you find beautiful and suitable for the recipient or occasion.

For example, if you find the bouquet "Congratulations" very beautiful and fitting for the person, but you don't think "Congratulations" suits the occasion, don't worry, because the bouquet name is not disclosed to the recipient.

Is there an alcohol control when ordering/delivering alcohol?

At Bloemenhuis Hofman, we consider it important to handle alcohol responsibly. Therefore, we do not sell alcoholic beverages to individuals under the age of 18. When ordering a bouquet including alcoholic drinks, an age verification process will take place upon delivery of the bouquet.

Can I also send the bouquet to a company, hospital, or funeral center?

Yes, that's possible. During the ordering process, you can specify where you want the bouquet to be delivered. You can indicate whether it's a private address or a company. The florist will then take into account the delivery time (delivering to companies before 5:00 PM).

Do you want to have a bouquet delivered to a hospital or funeral center? Please let us know in the comment field. Include the department and room number. This way, we can easily and quickly deliver the bouquet!
Please note: unfortunately, flowers may not be allowed to be delivered to some departments in hospitals. If in doubt, you can contact the hospital for clarification.

Can I also send a bouquet abroad?

At the moment, we do not offer the option to deliver flowers abroad.

Can I send the bouquet anonymously?

Yes, you can. Your personal details will never be disclosed to the recipient unless you choose to include your name on the card. If you do not mention a name on the card, the bouquet will be sent anonymously. The details of the sender are never shared with the recipient without consent.

How is the bouquet delivered?

The bouquet is always delivered personally, which is nice!

Each bouquet is delivered in a beautiful packaging to protect the bouquet. The eco-friendly packaging ensures that the bouquet is truly wrapped as a gift.

What happens if the recipient is not at home?

The recipient of the bouquet will be informed via a "not at home" card that they missed the delivery. The "not at home" card contains the details of the florist, allowing the recipient to contact them to arrange pickup of a fresh bouquet. Alternatively, the bouquet may have been delivered to the neighbors. In this case, the neighbors' address will be provided on the card.

Do I receive a confirmation of receipt?

Our florists use Track & Trace. Once they have delivered the bouquet, it is processed, and you will receive a confirmation of receipt in your email. Deliveries mostly take place in the afternoon.

I forgot to fill in the delivery date, what now?

No problem, because your bouquet will be delivered on the next available delivery slot. Need your order to be delivered on a different date? Please reply via email to your order confirmation and specify the desired delivery date. We recommend doing this as soon as possible.

Does the delivered bouquet look the same as in the photo?

No, because the photo is a snapshot, and flowers are natural products. Additionally, the availability of various types of flowers depends on the season. Also, not every florist colleague has an equally extensive range of flowers available. Furthermore, the deviation is greater for last-minute orders because we don't always know in advance which flowers are needed for the bouquets. The bouquets are made only after the order is placed and then delivered. If a flower is unavailable, a suitable alternative will be chosen.

Do you take a photo of the result?

No, we don't routinely take a photo of the result. Unfortunately, it takes significantly extra time to take a photo of each completed order and email it to the customer. In some cases, we may, of course, make an exception and offer this as an additional service.

Warranty & Returns
Do you offer a guarantee on bouquets?

We offer a 7-day guarantee on our beautiful bouquets, provided that you care for the flowers properly, of course. Flowers are a natural product, so it's possible that the quality may occasionally not meet expectations. If this happens, please let us know within 7 days of receiving the bouquet with a demonstrable response. In the event of a complaint, we kindly request three photos of the delivered bouquet (top, side, and stems).

For all items purchased from us, the legal warranty applies. Legal warranty means that a product must do what the consumer can reasonably expect of it. Some products may also come with a manufacturer's warranty. Our warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Can I return the bouquet?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to return a bouquet to us or to the florist. Flowers are excluded from the right of withdrawal due to their limited shelf life.

Can I receive an invoice for VAT?

With every order, an order confirmation with the order number is sent to the provided email address. Attached to this order confirmation is an invoice in PDF format. As part of our sustainability efforts, we only send our invoices digitally.

Please ensure that you enter your own email address at checkout, not the recipient's email address.

Can I pay safely?

When you proceed to checkout, it always takes place in a secure environment. Therefore, you can always pay safely.

Funeral Flowers
Where can I have funeral flowers delivered?

It is customary to have funeral flowers delivered to the address where the deceased is laid to rest. This could be a home address, a funeral home, or a crematorium. The funeral director ensures that the flowers are brought to the ceremonies. A sympathy bouquet is intended for the bereaved. We deliver this bouquet to the bereaved after the funeral to provide comfort and support.

When is the best time to have funeral flowers delivered?

When placing your order, you can choose a delivery date yourself. Our advice is to have the flowers delivered on the day of the farewell or a few days before the ceremony. This way, you ensure that the flowers are still beautiful at the time of the ceremony.

What text is appropriate for the ribbon or card?

When placing your order, you have the choice between a funeral ribbon or a card. For funeral flowers, the text on the ribbon is directed to the deceased. You can choose a standard text such as 'A Last Farewell' or 'Rest in Peace', or you can add a personal message. The funeral ribbon consists of two ends. On the first end, you can place a greeting to the deceased, and on the second end, you mention the sender.

The funeral has taken place. What is customary then?

If the funeral has already taken place and you still wish to express your condolences to the bereaved, it is not customary to order funeral flowers. Instead, you can opt for a sympathy bouquet in a vase, which we will deliver directly to the bereaved. This gesture of comfort can help them during this difficult time.

What text should I put on a funeral ribbon?

You can have a personal message printed on a funeral ribbon. A funeral ribbon typically consists of two ribbons. On one ribbon, you can place a personal message, and on the other ribbon, the name or names of the bereaved. It's understandable that coming up with a message during such a difficult time can be challenging. Therefore, we've gathered a few examples of messages for a funeral ribbon below.
